Here in Kernville we are approaching the season of less obvious road
kill. The turkey vultures come back to our valley in early spring,
and presently there is 10 of them about 75 yards down our slope.
They hang out in the trees spreading their wings, either to dry(it
rained last night) or to warm them before trying to fly(my
assumption).
We even have a Turkey Vulture Celebration each year and Ed Abbey,
who wanted to come back as a Buzzard, is certainly among them.
